TASTING NOTES
Nose
A welcoming bouquet of rich, dark caramel and molasses, layered with notes of toasted oak and a touch of earthy leather. Hints of ripe tropical fruits, banana, mango, and pineapple, are present, bringing a sweet vibrancy with soft spices of cinnamon and clove, weave through with an undertone of vanilla bean.
Palate
The first sip is rich and full-bodied, revealing smooth caramelised brown sugar and vanilla cream, Crème caramel, with subtle layers of dried fruit, figs, dates, and hints of raisin.
Oak influence is evident, adding a soft bitterness that balances the sweetness, with slight notes of dark chocolate. Spices come through gently, bringing accents of nutmeg, allspice, and a touch of white pepper.
Each sip unveils a soft nuttiness and faint orange zest, adding a complex yet harmonious flavour profile that sits well on the palate.
Finish
The finish is lingering and sweet, with warm oak and a delightful hint of cocoa powder.
Traces of dried fruit and toasted almonds leave a smooth, satisfying end, with just a touch of warming spice remaining on the palate. Leaving you with a rounded finish. A final flourish of vanilla and caramel to rounds off the experience.
